My Story

To ensure a fruitful collaboration, I believe it’s important to introduce myself a little. I am a Virgo at heart, which makes me a natural perfectionist with a logical, practical, and systematic approach to everything I undertake. My innate ability to organise and coordinate events has been a lifelong passion, and I firmly believe in celebrating every possible occasion!

I developed a fondness for events at a young age. However, my passion was fuelled by a sad event in my life – my grandmother’s passing from breast cancer when I was just 12 years old. On my 13th birthday, instead of receiving presents, I asked my friends to donate money to the cause, and together we raised £500. Since then, I have organised numerous fundraising events, raising close to £10,000 in my grandmother’s memory. As I honed my skills in fundraising and through my professional career, my love for events has only grown stronger.

In my role as a Talent Manager, I provided a comprehensive resourcing service for all permanent, FTC, and Editorial freelance hiring across Discovery, which includes CBBC, CBeebies, Newsround, Labs, and Platforms, as well as Scheduling and Business Operations. My responsibilities included managing more senior or intricate roles (in contrast to Talent Advisors) and collaborating with hiring managers to establish the most suitable attraction and sourcing approach. As a Project Manager at The Live Group, I was responsible for planning, managing, and delivering a wide variety of meetings, conferences, and events. These events often utilized digital technologies to enhance communication. My duties included overseeing all aspects of project and event management, as well as logistics for client events. During my time at Breast Cancer Care, I held the position of Event Project Executive, with responsibility for overseeing the coordination and successful execution of a range of events, including the Vitality 10,000, Tough Mudder, and the Shock Absorber WomenOnly Triathlon. As the primary point of contact for event-related inquiries, I was responsible for maintaining strong relationships with supporters, providing exceptional customer care, and delivering a seamless supporter journey. In addition, I developed comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns to promote the events to a wider audience, leveraging a variety of channels including advertising, media coverage, database mailings, e-marketing, web marketing, and social media. I consistently met income targets and ensured cost-effectiveness by maintaining an income and expenditure account for each event and providing regular reports as required. I also managed the updating and maintenance of the Breast Cancer Care database, including inputting new supporter information and generating participant and income reports. Additionally, I oversaw the event materials supply, maintaining a stock control system and placing orders as required. Finally, I acted as the team’s Digital Champion, creating and updating web pages for all events.

As part of this role, I provided support for Aon’s sponsorship with Manchester United Football Club. My responsibilities included planning, communicating, and executing various marketing programs and special events. This involved organizing hospitality logistics such as match-day tickets, transportation, hotel accommodations, and providing attendees with relevant information such as itineraries and transport schedules. I maintained regular communication with agency/client and Manchester United counterparts, as well as other stakeholders including colleagues, suppliers, and partner organizations to coordinate hospitality and VIP experiences for clients at events and matches. Additionally, I was responsible for producing marketing collateral, designing website banners, and contributing to the social media aspects of the program.

As Event Operations Executive at ATM Corporate Events, my main responsibilities included overseeing the planning, organization, and management of various corporate events, including team building activities, themed events, incentive trips, fun days, and multi-activity days. From the initial planning stages to the execution of the event, I worked closely with the sales team and maintained effective communication throughout the process. I managed key client accounts, such as Virgin Media, Capital FM, and Domestic and General, identifying opportunities to upsell ATM products. Additionally, I was responsible for ensuring high operational standards and overseeing the company warehouse for equipment and prop maintenance. On a daily basis, I managed staff both in the office and on events while enhancing the part-time staff portfolio.

I served as an Event Manager at Redcape Marketing where I aimed to boost foot traffic in shopping centers by conceptualizing and executing a diverse range of events, from ideation to completion.
